Breaking New Ground: Shared Solar Installation at Waverley Apartments
Breaking New Ground: Shared Solar Installation at Waverley Apartments
PiE Case Study
Partners in Energy (PiE) is proud to announce our latest project—a cutting-edge shared solar system installation for an apartment building in Waverley, NSW. This follows our earlier 30kW solar installation for the building’s common property, and now we’re taking it one step further—bringing direct solar benefits to individual residents.
The Project at a Glance:
- 52.8kW of rooftop solar panels
- 3 x Sungrow Inverters
- 3 x SolShare units by Allume Energy
- Grid interface protection installation and commissioning
- Upgraded metering and Level 2 electrical works
This project is a major win for apartment dwellers who’ve traditionally missed out on the benefits of rooftop solar. Thanks to Allume Energy’s SolShare technology, solar energy can now be fairly and efficiently distributed among multiple units in the building.
Why It Matters
SolShare is a game-changing product that enables residents of multi-dwelling units to access clean, renewable solar energy without needing individual rooftop systems. Even better—the NSW Government’s SOAR Grant Program is currently providing up to 50% funding for eligible apartment buildings to adopt shared solar technology.
